Deputy Mayor of the Šilalė district: these people should not have been vaccinated
On Thursday, Šilalė District Deputy Mayor Tadas Bartkus stated that he did not know exactly why R. Ūselis did not come for his second vaccination, but it is likely due to health problems.
“It just came to our knowledge then. The hospital informed them a day in advance that they had to arrive and simply informed the hospital that they would not arrive today. He does not give concrete reasons, but how much he had to explain today, something with health”, explains T. Bartkus.
The district’s deputy mayor admits that he still has a strong opinion that R. Ūselis and his family should not have been vaccinated, and this case sets a dangerous precedent.
“It just came to our attention then. I have expressed my position a lot to the leaders of the municipality; in my opinion, the law cannot arise from anarchy. These individuals should not be vaccinated.

SAM also indicated a second dose
According to T. Bartkus, people vaccinated with the second dose of the vaccine in Šilalė on Thursday received this opportunity due to a letter sent a few days ago by the Ministry of Health (SAM). Yesterday, the Šilalė district municipality received another letter, this time from the Special Investigation Service (STT). It claims that the first vaccine was administered illegally.

It establishes that it is not the Penal Code, but the Code of Administrative Offenses, which obliges the National Center for Public Health ( NVSC) to punish the guilty ”, explains T. Bartkus.
According to the deputy mayor, the person whom the NVSC is obliged to punish is Loreta Kalnikaitė, head of the Šilalė ambulance.
