“You don’t need a cannon shot to close the bar, to open it. There are very precise measures that have to be applied with precision in specific places, so that those people who go to the gym or to the cafe get precise information on how to behave there, because nothing needs to be closed. We need to use data intelligently and apply precise solutions, “R. Šimašius told reporters on Monday.
On Sunday, the municipality announced some follow-up measures that catering establishments must take to control the spread of the coronavirus.
R.Šimašius did not rule out that other measures may be necessary in the future.
“It just came to our attention then. The virus has not disappeared, it is spreading and there are many unknowns, so if those measures are not enough, new and different ones will be needed. Finally, we reiterate the lack of data and call on the National Public Health Center (NVSC) to have more data and to be able to adopt measures with greater precision, ”said the Mayor of Vilnius.
Speaking of the facts, he said that from the data currently available, it appears that the measures implemented so far are sufficient.
“They are limited, there are additional measures. So far, that seems to be enough, obviously we are talking to the organizers about how this is being achieved. They are looking responsibly, we as a municipality have reduced the number of events, and so far those measures seem logical. From what we can see from the statistics, which are incomplete and incomplete, there is no such image that someone would be infected at the events that take place in Vilnius. Yes, there are dance clubs and lessons, but this is a completely different situation. ”Said the mayor of Vilnius.
On Sunday, the Vilnius city municipality announced that public catering establishments undertake, for example, to maintain a distance of 1 meter in queues and at the bar counter, the masks will be used regularly indoors and in the patio, except when sitting at a table eating, drinking or smoking. in designated and specially marked places; drinks can only be consumed in the bar area, up to 2 meters from the bar on a beam or sitting at the tables; seating for eating and drinking should be separate from the dance area, etc. by zones.
It is also necessary to disinfect your hands at the entrance, at the bar and in the bathrooms; Application of the “one-in-one-out” principle at the entrance door when the premises are full; It is recommended to measure the body temperature of visitors at the entrance door or inside the venue (depending on the nature of the event), without admitting those whose body temperature exceeds the standard recommended by the NVSC (this provision may be adjusted for its reliability during winter); visitor registration at the entrance or inside, keeping the mobile phone number of each visitor for 21 days, and in the case of a fireplace, providing a summary of the mobile phone numbers of all visitors for that day to the NVSC.
