The Senukai retail chain, in accordance with the Government’s resolution on business regulation during the quarantine period, allows residents to safely purchase essential food products in the Food Core sections of its stores. The network started this activity during the first quarantine in the spring.

According to Elona Uckutė, representative of Kesko Senukai, the wider variety of food outlets offered to the population helps to solve the challenges of the pandemic, reduce the risk of contacts and manage flows throughout the country.

By government decree, stores whose main activity is the sale of food products can operate during the quarantine period.

“We are strictly following the new government decision. In the first quarantine, we realized that it was important for people to have alternative outlets where they could buy food. With this in mind, we have opened Food Core food stores in supermarkets. Senukai, where we sell everyday food products safely. And this is our main activity at the moment, “says E. Uckutė.

Currently, food products are available in 17 Senukai stores: three of them are located in Vilnius, four in Kaunas, two in Klaipeda, one in Šiauliai, Panevėžys, Alytus, Ukmergė, Mažeikiai, Telšiai, Druskininkai and Utena.

In other Senukai supermarkets, the assortment of the food department includes long-lasting food products: flours, pasta, oil, canned vegetables and meats, coffee, tea, sauces, sweets, soft drinks, etc.
