People coming to Lithuania from abroad next week will have to spend 10 days instead of 14 in self-isolation, the Ministry of Health (SAM) announced on Friday.
All countries in the world remained on the list of affected countries, but there was a slight decrease in the number of countries where stricter self-isolation rules apply.
All arrivals must be registered prior to arrival: Please fill out the electronic form on the National Public Health Center (NVSC) website and present the confirmation received (QR code) to the carrier before boarding the vehicle.
During your transport, you need to register before the time of crossing the Lithuanian border and send a confirmation of the completed electronic questionnaire (QR code) to NVSC specialists or other officials at the border or passenger checkpoint.
Visitors without cold symptoms will be able to shorten their self-isolation time by performing a PCR test no earlier than the seventh day after arrival and receiving a negative response.
However, even if the self-isolation period is shortened to 14 days after arrival, you need to limit the number of people you communicate with.
Workers can only go to work and home, and wear a face shield, a safe distance, and other means when communicating with other people.
SAM states that it has also introduced the amendment for third-country nationals arriving on Monday for work reasons with the permission of one of the ministries.
“During isolation, these people will be able to go to a necessary place to work or do business if they come from countries with less lenient isolation conditions,” the report says.
From Monday, milder isolation conditions will apply for those arriving from the United Arab Emirates, Aruba, Panama and Seychelles, and more stringent from Saint Lucia.
The list of affected countries is published every Friday, takes effect on Monday, and is valid for one week.
