Seimas anticaxers outside the parliament restaurant: angry threatens not to step further

In mid-August, the Seimas Board decided that access to the Seimas was only possible with a passport or a negative coronavirus test. An exception was left only for members of the Seimas.

Seimas spokesperson Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen later explained that the Board could not restrict the right of politicians without a passport to enter the workplace, as this would be in conflict with the Constitution.

But the Seimas still found a way to punish them in some way. As of Monday, they are not allowed to enter the restaurant in the Seimas building, because everyone must show their passport at the door again.

A passport checker at the restaurant’s entrance on Tuesday made no secret of the fact that many MPs who had already come to eat had to be handed over.

Among the inverts was one of the main opponents of vaccines in the Seimas: a member of the Union of Peasants and Greens faction, a healthy Dainius Kepenis.

News portal politician lrytas.lt confirmed that they had previously asked him from the Seimas restaurant. “They scratched me from there, so I’m not going to lift my legs there in principle,” said angrily D. Kepenis, who had to carry the food bought from the restaurant to the office.

An opposition spokesman explained that he could have a passport of opportunity because he was ill. “But I will not do it out of solidarity with all healthy people, the most educated and enlightened people, who care the most about their health. And I will not go where the junta operates and the order it has established, ”said a member of the Union of Peasants and Greens faction.

D. Kepenis explained that on Tuesday he had lunch at a Ukrainian restaurant near the Seimas. The politician was eating out, so the passport did not have to be available.

This arrangement, which allows those without access to a passport to sit at outdoor tables, was approved at the last minute by the Emergency Operations Manager on Friday.

Previously, no such possibility was provided and public health professionals explained that it is not possible to share outdoor and indoor activities.

When asked what he would do when the weather cooled down, D. Kepenis explained that it was hardened, so even in winter it was ready to eat outside. “If they force me, I will eat outdoors in winter. I will be the last (the government, ed.) To force me to take that passport,” determined D. Kepenis.

Valius Ąžuolas, another member of the Farmers and Greens Union faction, also searched for food outside the Seimas on Tuesday. The latter is also a constipated opponent of vaccines and masks.

The politician, who was not allowed to enter the Seimas restaurant, explained that he was looking for ways to eat elsewhere. “After all, it is possible to order food online,” said V.Ąžuolas.

By the way, some members of the Seimas were seen leaving the restaurant with food transporters on Tuesday. However, they denied taking food to unauthorized colleagues.

After verifying the passports of Seimas employees and visitors, he has not recently been required to wear masks in Parliament. This is only recommended.

But such an order is already beginning to outrage some vaccinated or relapsing politicians.

“If parliamentarians without immunity can visit the Seimas, the masks should be mandatory for everyone,” began to spray the anti-wax society.
