Casademont de Zaragoza officially said goodbye to Renald Seibutis, and the Lithuanian distributed a letter thanking the club for the opportunity.

“Most people are sad when they write farewell letters, but I do it with a smile because those two seasons brought a lot of good emotions,” wrote Seibutis. “Both my family and I have felt at home here from day one and we have met many wonderful people all this time.”

The Lithuanian also thanked the club’s president, Reynaldo Betinas, the sports director Pepas Cargolas and all the medical staff.

“Thank you to the club for believing in this old Lithuanian and giving him the opportunity to be part of the organization. I would also like to thank the medical staff who helped with their energy in the most difficult moments,” said the veteran.

The 34-year-old defender came to the Zaragoza team in the summer of 2018, but did not play a single game last season due to a back injury.

In the 2018-2019 season, Seibutis was one of the leaders of Casademont and averaged 11.2 points in 24 minutes of the game, recovered with 2.3 balls and made 2.3 assists.

At the 2019 World Championship, the defender played for the Lithuanian national team after 13 minutes, recording statistics of 2.6 points and 1 rebound.
