Savior Fillieva’s actions move me: “I didn’t think I had such talents.”

For the fourth consecutive year, Rūta together with the support and charity fund “Gėrio crupinėlis” organizes summer camps for children from low-income families, who live with guardians or from families at social risk, where children not only see the sea by the first time, but it also takes 4 to 5 days.

“It is already the fourth summer when we are organizing this camp. I never really thought I had such talents. When I was told earlier that maybe we were doing a summer camp for kids, I thought it was a big responsibility and not for me. And it turns out that this is a very faina activity, very attractive, without which I cannot imagine my summer now ”, he smiles.

Changes for the better

In the first year of the camp, all the children went to the sea for the first time, and in the 3-4 years, those who were in the camp before are already invited.

“Some go for the second time, others for the third time, because we notice positive psychological changes during the camp, that is why we want it to have continuity in the children’s lives and we want to contribute to the children’s free time, to their vacations,” he says. Route.

The 4-5 days for children are organized in advance and the schedule is quite intense. Children are prepared for various tasks, relays, games, and sometimes foam parties and discos. Entertainment by the sea awaits every day and, in the morning, exercise. Famous people, actors and singers are invited to the camp for the children to meet.

“Our camp differs from other camps in that we allow a family person to accompany the children. For example, children of caregivers or families at social risk may be accompanied by a known social worker. Some children from low-income families come with one of the accompanying parents.

This is not an environment completely alien to them. If children had to travel alone, it would probably be shy, scary. Many times we had to observe in the early days and negative emotions of the children – resistance, doing the exact opposite of what we asked, even some anger. And after two days, everything turns into a beautiful friendship, ”smiles Rūta.

Children’s emotions: invaluable

A television lifeguard says the children’s reaction is indescribable. Only the most beautiful and heartfelt emotions flow from the hearts of children.

“It is difficult to know what the reaction of children is because, personally, it tends to provoke great emotions in me. Strengthens the heart to the depths. I have seen children’s reactions in all kinds of weather, both when it is wavy and when it is calm. In any case, the children jumped into the sea, some even wearing clothes without listening to what the social workers were saying. It was not possible to get the children out of the water for at least an hour in any weather when they first saw the sea.

It’s not really even possible to tell because emotions flow around the edges. For me it is a gift to see that I was able to give it to him ”, he says with sensitivity.

Ruth herself says that the sea is still a very special phenomenon for her personally and that she could spend hours with it.

“As a child I was lucky, because I could spend hours, days or even a few weeks by the sea. I remember that those were the most beautiful emotions for me, so I want to give them to other children as well.” says Rūta.

Does a good job all year

Rūta Filejeva, the savior of TV3’s TV Aid program, does a good job all year long. The woman has founded her own charity “Gėrio crumbinėlis”, which helps poor Lithuanian families.

It is true that a woman is not only trying to help those families, but has also been organizing cute surprises for them for several years. Here, for example, during Christmas last year, Ruth gave gifts to almost a thousand children living in more difficult conditions and single grandparents.

When the news portal tv3.lt contacted R. Filejeva herself, the woman openly said that she was a little worried about last Christmas. After all, the coronavirus pandemic didn’t playfully halt the plans, which is why the woman feared there weren’t enough sponsors to help create a Christmas miracle for families in need.

However, even in tough times, you can also see the light. Ruth was glad that there were more sponsors than expected.

“No one knew if Grinch wouldn’t steal that Christmas. Every year we had a plan to visit a certain number of children, we had sponsors who helped us do it.

And we didn’t know anything last year. I can say that the time for miracles with the coronavirus has come. People feel more at home, more willing to see good than evil. I can say that we all hold each other’s shoulders with special force. If last year we visited 500-600 children, last year we went to a thousand “, – the TV lifeguard did not hide his joy.

Visit not only children but also grandparents

Rūta says that his support fund “Gėrio cupinėlis” visited not only children but also grandparents. It is true that they did it a little differently than last year:

“We visit not only the children but also the grandparents. We visit our grandparents a little differently than last year. In the past we were able to visit them and pass drawings, gifts to the children and last year we left everything at the door. The staff distributed them. We visit grandparents, families. Last year we were joined by a lot of new sponsors and, in fact, I have been feeling a miracle since October, something that has not happened in a single year. “

However, the goodness of the coronavirus can be said to spread rapidly in the darkest of times. Rūta also realizes this, that he is happy with the growing number of supporters of his foundation.

“Our works are made public. We talk about our good works, the arrival of new sponsors. We do not remain silent, thank everyone in public. I think that is the publicity that encourages others to join. Seeing good examples, others people come together, ”the woman said at the time.
