“One of the oil complexes in the port of Ras Tanura in the eastern province, one of the largest oil ports in the world, was attacked in the morning by a drone flying from the sea,” the ministry said in a statement from the state news agency SPA.

Later on Sunday, “ballistic missile fragments fell near the Aramco residential area in Dahran, Saudi Arabia, home to thousands of company employees and their families, citizens of various countries,” the ministry added.

The attacks did not injure people or cause damage, the Energy Ministry said in a statement, but did not specify who may have carried out the attacks.

At the time, Hussite rebels operating in Yemen wrote on Twitter after launching drones and missiles at Ras Tanur and military targets in the Dammam area near Dahran.

Earlier on Sunday, aviation from a Saudi-led military coalition struck targets in the Hushan-controlled capital of Yemen, Sana’a. According to the resort, the blows were carried out after intercepting a series of drones and missiles launched by rebels backed by Iran.

These actions continue to escalate the six-year conflict in Yemen between the coalition-backed Yemeni government and the Hussites, despite recent pressure from the United States to end hostilities.
