All rooms for the treatment of COVID-19 patients have been filled in the Santara clinics of the Vilnius University Hospital, the medical institution announced on Saturday.

“All sections for the treatment of patients with COVID-19 have been completed. Due to the flow of patients, there is constant cooperation with other hospitals: Vilnius City Clinic, Alytus, Ukmerg M., M. Marcinkevičius hospitals, ”the report states.

Coronavirus patients will be transported from the Santara clinics to the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital from Friday. 35 patients were transferred there on Saturday.

According to the report, another department of the Pediatric Clinic Corps was vacated. There are 20 seats for COVID-19 patients.

Everyone has access to oxygen. Access to the compartment is through a separate entrance to the enclosure.

“Patient paths to the ward are epidemiologically safe. A separate medical team has been formed and the department is equipped with all the necessary tools and medications, ”the clinics say.

Due to the significant increase in the number of infected people, patients in the Infectious Diseases Admission-Emergency Service of the Santara Clinics have to wait. The clinic administration advises you to choose warmer clothing and hot tea upon arrival.

On Saturday, 96 patients with COVID-19 were treated in the Santara clinics, eight of them in the Resuscitation-Intensive Care Unit.

In the clinics, 47 doctors were diagnosed with coronavirus infection and 56 employees were isolated due to contacts.
