Samsung has unveiled the latest flagship Galaxy S21 series – what innovations await fans?

In addition to an improved high-end camera system, a brighter and smarter display, the new devices will feature the most advanced processors in the company’s phones. Decisions made by the company this year have allowed consumers to offer phones at a more affordable price, starting at € 859. Consumers will be able to choose between phones with three different memory sizes: 128 and 256 GB, with a difference of only € 50, and the S21 Ultra with 512 GB of memory.

“Last year showed us how quickly consumers started making new demands on their smart devices. Today, people are spending more time using their phones than ever, which is why the Galaxy S21 series is designed to meet the needs of today’s life. Long discussions and investigations have allowed us to make the best decisions and reduce the cost. If, for example, we compare it with several last years, a high-end phone has never been as affordable as it is now, ”says Simonas Skupas, director of Samsung Electronics Baltics in Lithuania, in a press release.

It is true that for the first time with a Samsung phone, consumers will no longer have a charger or headphones.

Pre-orders for new flagships start in Lithuania and around the world today. In Lithuania, the 128GB version of the Galaxy S21 will cost 859 euros at Telia, and the twice as large version (256GB) can be ordered for 909 euros. The largest Galaxy S21 + with 128GB of non-volatile memory will cost 1,059 euros, with 256GB – 1,109 euros. The prices of the advanced Galaxy S21 Ultra will also depend on the amount of non-volatile memory: the 128 GB version will cost € 1,259, the 256 GB version will cost € 1,309 and the 512 GB version will cost € 1,439.

Tele2 also reported on prices and pre-orders: prices for phones in its stores range from € 859 to € 1,539, depending on the model. The Galaxy S21, with 128GB and 256GB, costs € 859 and € 909, respectively, and the Galaxy S21 + costs € 1059 and € 1109, respectively. Meanwhile, the smart Galaxy S21 Ultra with 128 Gb, 256 Gb or 512 GB is priced at 1359 Eur, 1409 Eur and 1539 Eur respectively.

Bitė Lietuva also accepts pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S21. Those who want to buy new smartphones can already request them in the company’s online store.

“We will start introducing the first Samsung flagships to customers tomorrow, and most customers will be able to test the long-awaited devices on Monday, January 18,” explains Jaunius Špakauskas, Bitė’s director of corporate communications.

Improved display and updated sleek design

The new Galaxy S21 smartphones feature a new design: a metal body and a different camera than previous models. All this distinguishes these devices from other phones currently on the market.

The smallest smart in the series, the Galaxy S21 has a 6.2-inch screen1, while the Galaxy S21 + has a 6.7-inch screen2 and a slightly larger battery. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is the largest 6.8-inch smartphone in this series with a 2X AMOLED dynamic display. The two smaller models feature the dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display, which automatically adjusts the frame rate for even smoother screen viewing and use.

For the first time, users will be able to enjoy both the 120Hz refresh rate and the Quad HD + display. Also, on the larger flagship, the screen refresh rate adapts to the content the user is watching from 10 to 120 Hz, ensuring the best picture and saving battery power.

Compared to the Galaxy S20, the S21 Ultra model shows 25 percent. a brighter image with 1500 nits maximum brightness and 50 percent resolution. higher contrast ratio for a clear and transparent display, even on a sunny day outdoors. Additionally, all three smartphones in the S21 series have an Eye Comfort Shield feature that protects the eyes and automatically adjusts to blue light levels to help reduce eyestrain and stress.

Best-in-class camera and 64 times richer colors

Consumers are still particularly interested in the camera and its features on phones, so manufacturers are refining this area further. The Galaxy S21 series is equipped with the most advanced high-end camera system, so it will be possible to capture professional photos worthy of a photo studio, regardless of lighting and settings. Artificial intelligence will also raise the bar for quality, making video filming and editing even easier.

The S21 and S21 + have a triple lens camera. Meanwhile, the S21 Ultra features a four-lens rear camera (108 MP main) (ultra-wide, wide-angle, and dual-tele) that captures 12-bit HDR images with 64 times richer colors and more than three times the dynamic range 5. This model’s bright night sensor is Samsung’s biggest leap in low-light photography. Enhanced night mode, noise reduction, and 12MP Nona-binning technology make it easy to capture moments even in low light.

Samsung is the pioneer of 8K video and with the Galaxy S21, users will be able to enjoy footage even more. For example, when recording 8K video, you can pause it and use the Capture 8K feature to convert the desired frame into a high-resolution photo. In addition, for the first time, a 4K resolution image can be shot at 60 frames per second with all four lenses, including the front and rear cameras. This will ensure that shots captured from different perspectives are of the same quality.

Sound quality is also important for filming, so as with the Note20 phones, the new models will be able to use multiple microphones6 and record their own voice and ambient sounds at the same time. The latest Galaxy Buds Pro wireless headphones will also be available as a microphone.

With the Galaxy S21 Ultra, images can be enlarged up to 100 times. The zoom function is based on Samsung’s first dual telephoto system with a hybrid 3x and 10x optical zoom. This will allow you to capture brilliant shots no matter how far away from the subject or action is smart. The two smallest models can zoom up to 30 times.

The phones also come with the Director’s View, which allows users to choose the correct framing angle, focus on specific subjects, and switch images without interrupting filming. In addition, it will be possible to shoot simultaneously with the front and rear cameras using the Vlogger View function. This will be especially useful for sharing video content on social media.
