A. Dulkys also indicated that it is intended to carry out an anti-corruption evaluation of the vaccination organization process, which will be carried out by the Special Investigation Service.
It will assess whether there is a risk of corruption in compiling and updating vaccination priority lists, how vaccinated people are recorded, or whether vaccinated people actually belong to published vaccination priority groups.
Dulkys emphasized that he condemned all the actions that cast a shadow on the vaccination process.
“In this area, transparency and absolute publicity are needed, but the control processes should not hinder the speed of vaccination and cost more than the final result. The strict position of all government representatives is welcome and necessary, “said the minister.
He announced on Sunday that he had made the decision to force the director of municipal administrations to monitor vaccination against COVID-19 in municipally owned or subsidized facilities.
Following the introduction of coronavirus vaccination in Lithuania, there have been reports in the media of cases where unauthorized doctors or medicine-related businessmen have been vaccinated according to the established order of precedence. The Health Ministry and law enforcement officials say they will clear up these cases.

President Gitanas Nausėda called the unsuccessful attempts to obtain vaccines “shameful relics of Soviet behavior” and demanded swift and decisive decisions on the responsibility of those who violated the vaccination regime.
The president will discuss the issue with A. Dulkis and Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonyte in a meeting Monday morning.
