The institutions that may receive patients for treatment are ordered in order of priority:
- Rehabilitation hospital of the Abromiškės public institution (not less than 100 beds);
- Public Institution Hospital de Rehabilitación de Palanga (no less than 70 beds);
- AB Eglės Sanatorium (Druskininkai) (not less than 270 beds);
- Public institution “Tulpė” (not less than 40 beds);
- AB Versmė (not less than 50 beds);
- UAB Palangos žvorūnė (no less than 160 beds);
- UAB Palangos Linas (no less than 50 beds);
- UAB Draugystės sanatorija (no less than 70 beds);
- UAB Upa MCT (no less than 40 beds);
- Palanga Children’s Rehabilitation Sanatorium “Palangos Ámbar” (no less than 50 beds).
The total number of beds in rehabilitation institutions is 900. Not more than 30 percent. beds, rehabilitation institutions shall inform the other medical rehabilitation institution by email and telephone according to the order of priority and the Ministry of Health (SAM).
If the rehab center does not have timely access to medications or medical devices necessary to treat patients with coronavirus infection, they should contact SAM. In this case, the measures would come from the reserve of the Center for Health Emergency Situations (ESSC). If the ESSC does not have the necessary arrangements, the medical institution from which the patient was transferred should be contacted.
To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, rehabilitation facilities will need to ensure that patients receiving personal care for a coronavirus infection are separated from other patients.
Patients must be transported to medical rehabilitation facilities at the treatment facility where they were previously treated. This treatment center, from which the patient is transferred, should consult the health professionals of the rehabilitation center. If the patient’s condition worsens, the person should be returned to the medical institution that provides active treatment services.
