Vaccination will be available on a priority basis both for employees of the educational institutions themselves, as well as for catering, cleaning and other service employees, as well as for people who are going to study Lithuanian abroad.
At the same time, students of health science programs who participate in clinical skills classes or do clinical practices in medical institutions and pharmacies will have the opportunity to be vaccinated as teachers and seniors.
The following people going abroad have been added to the priority group list:
• family members who are going to work in diplomatic and consular institutions of the Republic of Lithuania in foreign countries and accompany them;
• represent the Republic of Lithuania at the 17th Venice International Architecture Biennale and the Eurovision Song Contest 2021;
• participate in highly proficient sports competitions;
• attend military training or exercises.
The vaccination of the population under 65 years of age will give priority to those who receive immunosuppressive or immunomodulatory treatment, diabetic patients with complications and chronic cardiovascular, pulmonary (with respiratory failure) and liver diseases, and supportive family members.

To encourage municipal leaders to take the initiative and set an example to the population, vaccination of municipal mayors and administrative directors is prioritized.
The list of institutions whose employees perform vital state functions and can be vaccinated as a priority if they have contact with others includes the Financial Crimes Investigation Service, the Management Security Service, the Special Investigation Service, the Department of Security of the State, the Second Operative. Municipal Fire Department and Services. Along with this priority group, the staff of the National Public Health Center will also be vaccinated to ensure compliance with quarantine measures and have direct contact with others.
People with COVID-19 will now be able to get vaccinated six months after diagnosis, instead of three. If a person becomes ill after the first dose of the vaccine, the second dose will also be delayed for six months.
The vaccination plan for the population will be updated with new vaccine delivery schedules for manufacturers. The fourth vaccine registered in the European Union, manufactured by the pharmaceutical company Janssen-Cilag International NV, will be launched in Lithuania in April.
