On the occasion of the 80th anniversary “For his contribution to the development of Lithuanian basketball”, Saulius VILKAS, Lithuanian sports figure, former player, coach and leader of the Klaipeda city basketball team “Neptūnas” is honored. August 14 commemorated the honorable 80th anniversary.
The Lithuanian U21 men’s basketball team was honored. He won 1st place in the World Basketball Championship. Basketball players, coaches and service personnel were honored with commemorative medals of grade III, II, I and the LKF Thanksgiving badge “For the merits of Lithuanian basketball”.
The Lithuanian men’s national basketball team was also remembered and honored. He won bronze medals at the Men’s Basketball World Championship in Turkey.
Once again, the Lithuanian Basketball Federation sincerely congratulated the Vilnius Basketball School on its 50th anniversary.

The budget of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation in 2019 amounted to 3.8 million euros, of which about 63 percent, sponsors, events and other income.
