The Russian embassy called it disinformation and claimed that the Russian vaccine was “internationally recognized.”

At a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday, EU chief of diplomacy Josep Borrell expressed hope that the European Medicines Agency would recommend approval of the Russian vaccine in the UE too. He also called the Sputnik V vaccine “good news for humanity.”
