This season, the only team from Division A of the Regional Basketball League (RKL) is defending the honor of Vilnius: “Rivile”. The team is based on familiar faces from the basketball world and a group of young talents from the Capital Basketball School (SKM). The team leaders do not hide their ambitious goals for the future and the desire to compete at the highest level.
“Basketball Pulse”, which started the eleventh season and the most successful basketball school in Lithuania, SKM, which has been in operation for fourteen years, has entered a new stage and has joined forces with a professional basketball club, managed by transparent shape and with a separate board.
The multiple winner and award winner of the main city championships has grown his fan jersey and this season, having won 6 victories in 8 rounds, he is successfully fighting for a place in the National Basketball League (NKL).
“It is gratifying that the contacts established last year and the cooperation between the club and the Capital Basketball School have begun to materialize into an ambitious and victorious team, perfectly combining the experience of older players and youthful maximalism. This synergy is useful both for the team looking to compete in the NKL and in the future to enter the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL), and for SKM, whose most talented students have the opportunity to compete and improve to a higher level. ”Said Gytis Šukys, Director of Krepšinio Pulsas.
The team is led by Karolis Brusokas, Paulius Žalys, Gediminas Povilauskas, Laurynas Jacevičius, Evaldas Rastenis and Vaidotas Jatulevičius, who have previously played in LKL, NKL and foreign basketball leagues. The team’s app also includes up to 12 young people who have not yet reached the age of majority. They are SKM students who have the opportunity to debut and get used to men’s basketball.
The team is led by Mindaugas Noreikia, Saulius Kuzminskas and Ugnius Savickas, who worked together last season in the NKL.

This season, 16 teams compete in the RKL A division. In the regular season, clubs that have obtained 1-4 places will advance directly to the quarterfinals, while teams that have gained 5-12 places will compete in the eighth final .
Up to 3 victories will be fought in the round of 16 and quarterfinal series. The main innovation is the four finalists for the first time in the history of the league.
The RKL champion will be announced in the final four of the tournament in the spring. The winner will also be eligible to compete in 2021-2022. season in the National Basketball League (NKL).
