The decision was signed by the Minister of Health, Aurelijus Veryga, Head of Emergency Operations at the state level.

No additional conditions are established. This means that no matter what country the person returned from, what morbidity there is, etc., the obligation to investigate does not remain. The surveys will be carried out in mobile points, the people themselves must register with the Corona hotline in 1808, which indicates that they have been abroad.

The new procedure takes effect on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Health (SAM) recalls that, after evaluating the epidemiological situation in Lithuania, as of June 1, tests for coronavirus infection will be carried out in accordance with the new procedure.

Preventive tests are carried out on the basis of the epidemiological indicators of the municipality or, in other words, on the basis of a risk assessment in a specific municipality. Patients experiencing symptoms, as well as patients admitted to hospitals on a planned basis and after outbreaks of infection, for example, when infected by a dormitory resident, are specifically investigated.
