Residents shook hands at the call to stay home for All Souls’ Day: a Delphi photographer captured what was happening in Vilnius

Delphi On the Sunday before noon, the photographer visited the Vilnius cemetery and recorded the movement that was taking place there.

The photos he took show that there are quite a few people: some go one by one, two or in groups. There are also many cars parked next to the cemetery.

Candles are lit on almost every grave on Sundays, with flowers placed.

It’s also not hard to notice that some people don’t wear masks. There are also those who use them incorrectly: a mask hanging on the chin or simply a protruding nose. Epidemiologists have criticized the inappropriate use of masks. They say that it is impossible to protect yourself or others from the virus in this way.

We remind you that Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga also gave a speech before the long weekend. “(…) this is a time when we generally travel to our homeland, visit the graves of loved ones, the request would be to rethink the need to go there this year, if there is such an opportunity, postpone the trip”, said.

Veryga also urged residents to wear masks, regardless of whether or not the quarantine has been announced in the visited municipality.
