On Monday, the Seimas Freedom Faction will discuss preparations for the Passport of Opportunity, which will begin in a week.
Vincas Jurgutis, vice minister of Economy and Innovation, said that the Passport of Opportunities basically allows opening certain activities earlier than the epidemiological situation allows. He assured that by May 24, some of the services should already be working without problems.
He explained how to get a passport.
The Opportunity Passport will provide the opportunity to visit the interior of the catering and leisure facilities, stay in rural tourism houses, organize personal celebrations or visit prisoners.
“As long as there is quarantine, in any case, even with the passport of opportunity, there will be certain regulations on how these operations will be,” emphasized V. Jurgutis.
The website address for Opportunity Passport, he said, will be announced Thursday. Once on the website, a person must identify themselves with a mobile signature or through electronic banking.
The code you need to save will appear on the screen later. It can also be a screenshot taken by the phone.
The data will be updated every hour.
You will need to update your code at least every 7 days. Service providers will also be able to verify that the passport is not forged.
V. Jurgutis, in turn, requests online registration for the preventive test so that the system does not overload.
Diana Vilytė, Director of Service Management at the Registry Center, said the Opportunity Passport is a middle ground, but it is extremely effective.
“We believe that the passport will work in 24 days. We understand that this is an intermediate solution against the Green Certificate and mass vaccination. We were looking for the simplest possible solution so that it would not be difficult for people to connect and attract,” he explained.
Offer all Lithuanian residents to check their health data on e-health now.
“Check if there is a vaccine, vaccination. They are the ones who got sick – it’s the fact of getting sick registered. We suggest using rapid tests, because their introduction into the system is a bit faster,” explained D. Vilytė.
According to her, the passport data will be updated every hour.
“If a vaccine is administered, the result can be searched in the system in about an hour and 15 minutes,” he said.
According to the representative of the Registry Center, people who do not have computers or other technologies should be helped by their relatives, but in this case people can also go to the Registry Center.
The Deputy Minister of Health Živilė Simonaitytė stated that the Ministry cooperates closely with the municipalities.
“Everything depends on the municipalities, their capacities and capacities. At the moment, we have agreed that separate time zones are being opened, there is a separate register for the possibility of passport tests.
Here again, it will depend a lot on each municipality, because it is not the ministry that does the tests, but the doctors from the municipalities, ”said the vice minister.
