If such measures are observed in the next two weeks, according to the National Center for Public Health (NVSC), more stringent measures may not be necessary in this municipality.

The epidemiological situation in the Raseiniai district is assessed by NVSC specialists as bad, which is why they proposed introducing even more stringent measures that could help limit the spread of the infection.

According to Rolanda Lingienė, head of the Vilnius Department of the NVSC, the residents of the Raseiniai district have been given the opportunity to focus and do everything that is up to everyone so that complete isolation from the city is not necessary.

“Our message is that no one but the people who live in the Raseiniai district will control this situation. Some of the measures have been in place since September 21 and are now being toughened, so, as epidemiologists say, we are giving the opportunity for the city and each of its inhabitants to take all the measures without expecting anything. If this is not done and people do not pay attention to our request to protect themselves and others, to check that they are not sick, then the life of the entire district must come to a complete stop. The effectiveness of the measures will depend solely on the efforts of the residents themselves, “says R. Lingienė.

NVSC specialists request a preventive check-up at the mobile point for all residents of the Raseiniai district. Also, wear personal protective equipment, observe physical distance, refuse all trips from home, meetings, vacations.
