R. Karbauskis thanked the people who attended the elections at such a difficult time. He mentioned that the majority will be put by the conservatives, so LVŽS will become a strong opposition.
A.Veryga said that four years were very difficult for them, and even now the situation continues to heat up. Therefore, he promised that they would supervise the new rulers.
The LVŽS leader said that the most important thing now is to defend the work that, according to him, was a particularly important area of the pharmacy: maintaining the price policy.
“I heard about alcohol policy, lifting the ban on advertising. Some politicians are also proposing to legalize marijuana, so we will do everything possible to prevent that from happening. The ruling majority, if it is made up of the three parties mentioned now, will have only 70 and few votes, so it will be in constant tension and decisions such as the legalization of marijuana will not be possible to implement in this Seimas.

Mirror reflection
He did not rule out that he could be the leader of the opposition, and that there were more positions for the opposition.
“This Seimas is like a reflection of the mirror of the present. It was difficult for us, it will also be very difficult for the new ruling majority,” said R. Karbauskis.
He said that in four years the rulers had missed the shadow cabinet, had not heard of budget proposals, so now they are determined to show what the opposition looks like to work. R. Karbauskis is convinced that after the end of this mandate, the LVŽS will definitively form a shadow government, because it is required by the opposition’s work style.
He also promised to support such decisions, that the new rulers would not first reverse, say, child money.
R. Karbauskis rejected any suggestion about possible disagreements with Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis, that this has not been the case for the past four years or is now. And at the press conference is S.Svvernelis, because he is an active prime minister and is at his workplace. You will attend a meeting with the president.

When asked if he made any mistakes, why he lost the elections, R. Karbauskis admitted: they did not win, they cannot gather the ruling majority.
“Was it possible to win the propaganda elections after four years of propaganda? Maybe maybe someone will win in four years. I can ask anyone a question: list the three prohibitions we have adopted, and I know I will not list them. Because it was actually the clichés that hit us.
When a person says they are voting against bans, they only need to name what those bans were. When it comes to banning alcoholic beverage advertising, it’s more than 60 percent, almost 70 percent. support this. Most also support 21 m. years. But those clichés are repeated, they stick to us, that’s how propaganda works, ”said R. Karbauskis.
So it is good that there are live broadcasts in the spring, which were focused on COVID-19, but it was also possible to get rid of the floating cliches. This allowed the party representatives to recover and A.Veryga, according to R.Karbauskis, became the most popular politician. He also mentioned the rather unstable situation in the Seimas, the “betrayal” of the Speaker of the Seimas Viktor Pranckietis, who had to be a pillar, and became a liberal from a “peasant”. Furthermore, it is alleged that several important decisions were unsuccessful.
A.Veryga stated that his competitor in the unique style district Gintarė Skaistė had more time for agitation, because he had to work other jobs.

A.Veryga assured that he had always tried to say everything he knew at that time, so if he did not reveal any information it was only because he did not know anything at that time. He also confirmed that the government will likely adopt tighter restrictions throughout Lithuania on Wednesday, so there should be no sporting events like the ones we have seen recently.
R. Karbauskis promised that the outgoing Seimas would still like to be able to pass the law of the thirteenth pension, although it will be very difficult to do so, because it is not known if he will be able to mobilize the companions.
“We are very hopeful that after analyzing our decisions, many of them will not be reversed. It is a shame about the thirteenth pension,” said the president of LVŽS.

32 representatives of LVŽS will work in the Seimas of the new mandate. In the multi-member constituency, 16 party candidates were elected to parliament on 11 October.
Another 16 of them were elected in the second round of the Seimas elections on Sunday. Probably the most painful defeat: In the Karoliniškės-Pilaitė district, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis lost to conservative Radvilas Morkūnaitė-Mikulėnienė.
According to this result, the “peasants” were second in the ranking of the results of the Seimas elections.
The Seimas elections were won by the Lithuanian Christian Democrats-National Union (TS-LKD), who are currently working in the opposition. According to preliminary data, the Conservatives won 50 seats.
