“Two hundred employees are being investigated, we have no results yet, but we really hope to have them today,” R. Lienienė told Lithuanian Radio on Wednesday morning.

According to her, the subjects currently had no close contact with infected people, so the number of infected people should not increase significantly. A total of 18 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus at the company so far.

“According to initial data, these people had no close contact with the infected, they are employees of the transportation department of this company and our colleagues stated that they were at low risk, we should not expect any staggering numbers,” said R. Lingienė.

A NVSC representative stated that the first person became ill on July 3, arrived in Lithuania the day before, and doubts whether other company employees met the isolation requirements after the first case was detected.

“He arrived in the afternoon, he got sick in the morning, which means that he was infected during his stay in the country, that is. In Uzbekistan Another person became ill on July 9 and all the other illnesses, two officially confirmed yesterday and fourteen others not officially confirmed, became ill later. Surprisingly, they didn’t have to get sick in the normal way if they really followed the isolation regime, because they were isolated when the first person got sick, ”said R. Lingienė.

“So difficult to say, the epidemiological study will confirm whether they are infected in their country, which is theoretically possible and practically possible, but it is already more difficult to believe if they have infected each other without following the quarantine isolation regime,” said one NVSC spokesperson.

According to her, “the situation in Europe is deteriorating, not in days but in hours”

R. Lingienė also recommended that when she comes from abroad, try to stay isolated, limit contacts, even if the country is not included in the list of dangerous, according to her, “the situation in Europe is deteriorating, not in days, but in hours”.

“The list of countries from which isolation is necessary, from which it is recommended, and from which isolation is neither recommended nor necessary, but the situation in the world, especially in Europe, deteriorates not by days but by hours “said the NVSC representative.

On Tuesday, a coronavirus was detected in 18 people at Hegelmann Transport in Kaunas, the Health Ministry reported.

According to the ministry, according to preliminary data, all those infected with the coronavirus came from Uzbekistan in early July to work for a company dedicated to international transport.

According to SAM, all those infected are currently isolated. NVSC specialists find out if the infected people had contact with other people. NSVC staff also take other actions necessary to control the outbreak.

NVSC reported the first case at this company last week on Thursday and the second on Monday.

According to official data on Tuesday, a total of 1,875 people in Lithuania were infected with the coronavirus, 213 people are still sick and 1,571 have recovered.
