According to a spokesman for Buckingham Palace, the Duke of Edinburgh was rushed to a medical facility due to deteriorating health.

The 99-year-old prince is currently being cared for at King Edward VII Hospital in London. Queen Elizabeth II remained at her Windsor residence.

It is reported that due to deteriorating well-being, the supervising physician recommended that the prince lie down in a medical institution. For now, it will remain there for a few more days.

According to sources, Philip’s deteriorating health has nothing to do with the coronavirus.

Vaccinated against the virus in January

The 94-year-old queen and her husband, Philip, 99, were vaccinated against the coronavirus in January at Windsor Castle by a royal family doctor.

Queen Elizabeth II and Philip spent most of the pandemic in Windsor due to their honorable age, and Christmas was greeted at Sandringham Manor in East Anglia.

In the UK, more than 1.5 million have been vaccinated against COVID-19 to date. Over the largest immunization program in the country’s history, priority is given to the elderly, their caregivers and health workers.
