In a comment to Eltai, Ernesta Dapkienė, director of the Communication and Image Department at the Maxima retail chain, noted that working hours will be temporarily shortened and changed at 27 stores starting November 7.
According to her, five stores in Vilnius, two stores in Marijampolė and some stores in Alytus, Daugai, Druskininkai, Viečiūnai, Kėdainiai, Rokiškis, Radviliškis, Joniškis, Kupiškis, Pasvalys, Biržai, Vabaltadisinke, will temporarily open new ones in Moltadisinda. , In Palanga, Sventoji, Priekule and Silute.
“We made this decision in response to the changing needs of customers as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and reducing the workload of our employees by assessing the potential risks of ever-spreading COVID-19 infection. We are monitoring the situation and, if necessary, working hours will be further adjusted in certain Lithuanian municipalities or in our separate stores, ”noted E. Dapkienė in a comment to Eltai.
Darius Ryliškis, a representative for the Norfa retail chain, told Eltai that there are still no plans to reduce working hours at the chain’s stores.
At that time, customer flows in stores are restricted as of Tuesday.
“As of Tuesday, it is applied in this way: with as many baskets and trolleys as there are people in the trading room, and it is forbidden for buyers without bags or trolleys to be in the trading room. That is, if there are more people, there will be to wait for those carts or bags to appear ”, said D. Ryliškis.
Renata Keršienė, director of public relations for the Rimi retail chain, told Eltai that it had been decided to shorten the opening hours of the Rimi store only in the Panorama shopping and entertainment center.
“Both in the last days and with the start of the quarantine, we will monitor the distribution of traffic. At the moment, it has been decided to shorten Rimi’s working hours at the Panorama shopping center, ”he told Eltai.
According to her, the restriction on the flow of buyers, which was applied in those cities where local quarantine was announced in stores, will be extended to all stores in the network.
Retail chain Iki is also not planning to cut working hours yet. According to Vaida Budrienė, Director of Network Communications, customers are behaving responsibly.
“(…) We see in our clients that they behave in a very responsible way, use security measures and keep their distance. (…) As far as I know the situation, there are no long queues in traffic jams, ”said V. Budrienė.
Lina Skersytė, a public relations representative for Lidl Lietuva, noted that there are no plans to reduce working hours at chain stores.
“Currently, we do not plan to reduce the opening hours of the stores. If necessary, the stores are regulated by the flow of buyers to guarantee 10 m2. meters per buyer ”, reported L. Skersytė.
