As the coronavirus outbreak begins to decline, the government has been changing its regimen once a week for some time. Operations manager A.Veryga separately explains various procedures related to self-isolation.

Procedures are changing or improving so fast that it has become a major challenge for many to get caught up in them, which is why people on social media have begun to complain about receiving conflicting information from state institutions.

Examples of this are shared by a group of Lithuanians living abroad on Facebook.

And we all face the same everyday problem: the mismatch of information.

“The group currently has 14,000 members from different countries. And we all face the same day-to-day problem: the mismatch of information. People call, write to various Lithuanian institutions, hotlines, and they all receive different information with threats of fines if they don’t This or that “. 15 minutes wrote the reader

According to her, people are confused, they no longer know where to go or what to believe and how to finally choose that information.

Reported that no self-isolation is required

A person from the group shared a letter from the Pakruojis municipality explaining that those returning from Britain from June 1 will no longer need self-isolation.

In fact, it was decided that A.Veryga would publish lists of countries on Mondays from which it is not necessary to isolate.

Britain is not on the list of such countries released last Monday because there are many sick people there.

He was informed by phone about the need to isolate himself

Daiva Rocienė, Chief Specialist of Pakruojis District Municipality 15 minutes He said he could not answer otherwise.

The specialist explained the information to the person on May 28 after the amendment to the Government resolution. There was an article in it saying that there would be no need for self-isolation when returning from various countries (including Britain).

The resolution also explains separately that A.Veryga will publish a weekly list of countries from which it will no longer have to isolate itself. According to D. Rocienė, before the list was available, she provided the information as it was in the adopted resolution.

“For all applicants before June 1, the decision adopted by the Government resolution was informed and it was explained that only on Monday (June 1) the municipalities will have a list of states and will know more precise information on self-isolation”, – in response 15 minutes declared D. Rocienė.

According to her, after receiving the list of states on Monday, it became clear that self-isolation is mandatory upon returning from Britain.

“The municipalities followed the decision (compilation of the list) made by the head of the state operation before the statewide emergency situation,” he said. “The person who contacted the municipality and his relatives were personally informed by telephone about the mandatory self-isolation.”

Hotline responses are different

And this is just one example of how difficult it is to cut order.

Another woman in the group said she had called the hotline and asked if she had to be quarantined with a man who was returning from abroad.

It was explained to the woman that this would not be necessary if the man lived in a separate room, went to the bathroom or the shower and used all the protective equipment, food was served at the door of the room. However, after calling the hotline again, the woman heard that she was unable to go to work when her husband returned.

“The answer was yes, I have to quarantine together. Because when I go to work, I risk breaking the isolation rules and obtain a criminal case, ”he was surprised.

In another case, the woman tried to figure out how to leave the country without 14 days of self-isolation, when she returned to Lithuania to settle her affairs for a short time.

“I called NVSC, they advised me to leave in 24 hours, as in transit,” he shared his story with users of social networks. – The next day I call you again for some questions, I tell you that I was advised to go and she says: for the first time I listen, I am not responsible for my colleague’s words. I listen and do not believe in my ears! But then I saw people crossing the border in transit, I don’t understand it. “

I listen and do not believe in my ears!

Another woman said she had also received advice from NVSC to cross in transit, but learned at the border that this could not be done.

A.Veryga: It is difficult to hope that there are no human errors.

When asked what advice would be given to people who do not know the procedure and it seems that there is no one who can explain it fairly, the Minister of Health A.Veryga said that the question is good, because there is a lot of information.

According to the Minister, it seems difficult to expect to be able to avoid human error and certain misunderstandings when the information is misrepresented or misinterpreted.

“Let’s be patient, and otherwise, if people want to know something about the requirements in general, what are the decisions of the operations manager, or what are the requirements, what are the starting rules, from which countries to leave, all this “Information is published on the SAM website where information on the management of COVID-19 is published,” he advised.

According to A.Veryga, if a person has been provided with conflicting information, it is best to call the institution that monitors arrivals and provides recommendations: NVSC, a phone number is listed on the center’s website.
