In accordance with the Government Resolution, the provision of cross-country skiing services is allowed, ensuring the electronic distribution of tickets and the pre-registration of visitors.

“It is prohibited to provide ski equipment rental and services other than ski slopes on outdoor ski slopes. Restrictions on the flow of visitors must be guaranteed in the place of provision of ski slope services; the maximum number of visitors allowed at one time is calculated according to the number of lifts in operation: a lift can have a maximum of 30 visitors. “establishes the Government’s resolution.

This solution will not apply to gated resorts, such as Snow Sands in Druskininkai.

“Today the decision was made to propose to the Government to allow the provision of cross-country skiing services,” said Agnė Bilotaitė, president of the Government Emergency Commission, before the Government meeting.

Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys, for his part, said that on Wednesday the government will also receive a proposal to allow non-essential goods stores with independent entrances to provide beauty services.

“The proposals that we will make to the Government at the next meeting may not be very big, but they are very important because we would like to propose to the Government that not only grocery stores but also other non-essential stores can operate if they have a separate entrance from the side of the field and can limit customer flows accordingly. We would also like to offer the liberalization of certain services, namely the provision of beauty services, but of course ensuring that the number of people is limited at the same time ”, said A. Dulkys.

Currently, many stores, sports and leisure venues are closed in the country, the movement of people between municipalities and meetings both at home and in public places is restricted.

It is planned to review the restrictions of the quarantine regime on a weekly basis and decide on the release of the restrictions taking into account the morbidity rates and the proportion of positive tests in the country.

The quarantine in Lithuania was extended until February 28.
