And considering that the situation in the country is deteriorating very rapidly, it is proposed to introduce additional requirements, which is why it is proposed to use mandatory masks for people over 6 years of age in all public places.

Exceptions to the mandatory use of masks

There are exceptions to the requirement to wear protective masks in all public areas. The masks must be used by people over 6 years old. Athletes, high-performance sports and physical activity specialists, high-performance sports and physical activity instructors, and judges participating in high-performance sports exercises or competitions may not wear masks.

Exceptions also apply in catering establishments while sitting at a table or in a bar, as well as during the provision of a service where the service cannot be provided while the recipient is wearing a mask.

And for people with disabilities who, due to their health condition, cannot wear masks or whose use can harm a person’s health. These people are recommended to wear a face shield.

Exceptions for non-residential areas: outside the place of residence (cities, towns, villages, monuments, gardeners associations) and when there are no other people within a radius of 20 meters, except for family members (spouse or person with a Registered Partnership Agreement), children (adopted), including minor children, parents (adoptive parents), guardians of a person and their spouse or a person with whom a registered partnership agreement has been entered into are remembered and applied during quarantine ).

It is also specified that the flow of service users and other visitors in cultural, leisure, entertainment and sports institutions must be limited: at least 10 m2. m the area of ​​the premises where the service is provided by a client or another visitor, and a distance of at least 2 meters must be guaranteed between staff, service users or other visitors.

This requirement does not apply to high skill sports exercises.

Previously applied restrictions

In municipalities where local karatine is introduced, these guidelines have been in effect in the past.

By public transport: a distance of 1 meter must be maintained, passengers – only in seats.

Meeting restrictions have been introduced in municipalities where local quarantine has been announced.

Groups of up to 5 people can meet in public places, maintaining a distance of 2 meters between groups.

And in the Raseiniai district, no more than groups of 2 people, also maintaining a distance of 2 meters between the groups.

In these municipalities, mixed or distance work is compulsory in the public sector.

It is recommended that this requirement be extended to the private sector.

Provision of at least 10 square meters per person in places of commerce and provision of services.

Visits to patients other than terminal patients, patients under 14 years of age, and mothers are also prohibited in local quarantine municipalities.

Visiting patients in social residences is also prohibited, it is recommended to limit the working hours of day centers.

It is recommended that religious communities operating in municipal territories organize religious rites in a way that avoids meetings or refrains from performing religious rites.
