The new Addere Care nursing homes, offering Swedish quality of service standards, have started operations in Trakai, providing nursing services and supportive care. People with a valid referral to nursing will receive basic services here free of charge, that is, from the budget of health insurance funds.

Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, many people in need of help and care are no longer able to take sufficient care of their loved ones or are currently living in crowded hospitals. Therefore, the founders of the new nursing homes are glad that they are beginning to operate right now, when the country’s healthcare sector needs more help.

“We are well prepared to work in a different environment: we have a newly equipped hospital better adapted to infection control and trained staff. Our team has passed the Swedish training in psychology, pastoral care, hygiene and working with people with dementia. On an ongoing basis. We ensured that guests could live comfortably in separate communities for up to 30 people, thus ensuring infection management and attentive staff care for all, “says Alma Pundziūtė, Director of Addere Care.

The new nursing home is located in Trakai, on the shores of Lake Babrukas. The old hotel building has been restored and adapted to the needs of the hospital. The spaces are designed so that guests feel like they are in a cozy nursing home: live in comfortable single, double and triple rooms, have space for communication, leisure and food for them, and walk safely in the large courtyard .
