But there is still no reason to relax quarantine requirements. Then everyone must follow them, protecting themselves and others.

It is necessary not only to wear personal protective equipment: masks, wash, sanitize hands frequently, keep a safe distance, do not gather, do not leave the house without much need, but also stay in the house or workplace, ventilate and disinfect facilities more frequently.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, 1.64 million research. The proportion of positive tests (in the last 7 days) reaches 24.3%. The highest number of positive responses (64.4%) was received in Birštonas, where 45 inhabitants were evaluated. The positive parts of the investigation registered in other municipalities are smaller: Alytus d. – 43.4 percent. (test volume – 457), Elektrenai mun. – 40.3 percent (457), Šalčininkai – 38.8 percent. (523), Trakai – 37.4 percent. (768). In the Vilnius district municipality, 35.2 percent received positive responses. of 1810 studies.

To date, no deaths from COVID-19 have been reported in just three of the 60 Lithuanian municipalities. No person died in the municipalities of Birštonas, Neringa and Pagėgiai due to the coronavirus disease, but in the last 5 deaths of the infected population were recorded for other reasons, in the other two, an infected person died.

Across Lithuania, 1,614 people have already been victims of COVID-19, and another 838 people have been recognized as the cause of death by another coronavirus-infected population.

The city of Kaunas has already lost 185 lives due to the raging coronavirus in the world, another 60 people have died for other reasons. In Vilnius, 184 people were victims of COVID-19 and the deaths of 122 people infected with the virus were also recorded, according to doctors, for other reasons. In Šiauliai these numbers are as follows: 119 and 38, in Klaipėda – 77 and 69, in Panevėžys – 46 and 14.

As announced on Saturday, there are currently 66,244 people with the coronavirus disease in the country, more than 76,703 have recovered from it in the last 14 days.

According to this relative morbidity rate, Vilnius City currently ranks 14th (1474.8 cases) on the list of municipalities, and Vilnius District ranks 12th (1480.8 cases). Kaunas – 21 (1242.7 vacancies), Kaunas district – 30 (1146 vacancies), Klaipėda – 19 (1280.1 vacancies per 100,000 inhabitants), Šiauliai – 22 (1222 5 open).

Panevėžys has yet to make it out of the top three most morbid municipalities in Lithuania. In the last two weeks, 2014, 3 new cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 population. Panevėžys ranks second in the list of municipalities in terms of morbidity rate. Alytus still leads (opened 2040), Pakruojis third district (opened 1843.4).
