2020 On December 15, at the age of 64, Jurgis Krasnickas, the Alytus City Township Administration Director, suddenly left for Eternity.
Born in 1957. District of Alytus, settler town. He graduated from Simnas High School and in 1976. – Kaunas Technical Vocational School 23, where he acquired the specialty of film mechanic. 1984 Graduated from the Kaunas Medical Institute. He subsequently obtained a master’s degree in public health from Kaunas University of Technology.
1984 Began working as a pediatrician at S. Kudirka Hospital in Alytus County. 1986 In 1987-1995 he worked as coordinating physician in the Department of Child Resuscitation, and in 1987-1995. – Head of the pediatric service and resuscitator.
From 1990, when he became a member of the Alytus City Council, he served on the council for three decades, until 2020.
1995-1999 served as Deputy Minister of Health, 1999-2006 – Chief of Alytus County Medical Service. 2006-2012 served as Director of Alytus County S. Kudirka Hospital. 2012 was elected mayor of the municipality of the city of Alytus. He held this position until 2015.
