In late April, the government relaxed quarantine requirements and allowed cafes to work alone outdoors at a distance of two meters between tables, with no more than two people or members of the same family sitting at a table.
Since the quarantine began in mid-March, restaurants and other dining establishments have only been able to prepare takeaways.
The Minister of Education, Science and Sports, Algirdas Monkevičius, has proposed that distance education students return to school for at least two weeks, elementary students from May 25 and seniors from June 1.
A decision has been made to resume work in kindergartens since May 18.
