This week, President Valdas Adamkus and the country’s first lady, Alma Adamkienė, spend time in rehabilitation in Birštonas.
“After two days, we still do not feel any results: neither improvement nor deterioration,” says V. Adamkus.
Health is still bad
The president says that he is going through a lot for the health of his wife, because he sees that A. Adamkienė is really weak: “I live because she is very weak, it takes a lot of paperwork for her to recover.”
V. Adamkus and A. Adamkienė plan to spend a week in rehab.
Wife’s health deteriorated last week
Previously, President V. Adamkus told tv3.lt that he felt fine and was not complaining about his health.
“I feel very good. It seems to me that not only the vaccines, but also the weather does not have a negative effect. Everything is fine for me,” said V. Adamkus.
But the president reveals that his wife’s health has worsened in the past week, but cannot say exactly what happened:
“Perhaps it is better to talk to your doctor about your wife’s health, because my wife has been in the hospital for almost a week. I do not want to confuse anything and give bad information. Alma will move to Birštonas from Thursday and there will be two weeks to recovery ”.
V. Adamkus says he was in the chair when the housewife called:
“The housewife called me and told me that she had found Alma reclining in her chair and reading a newspaper. She reacted to this as soon as possible. So it started there … Orally, he decided to transfer her to the hospital immediately and take her to the Santara clinics. “
Ms. Alma has been in the hospital for almost a week. The president is happy that her health improves every day.
“It just came to our attention then. I still drive to the hospital in the car. I visit her every day.” Yesterday she looked quite fresh and we are very happy that she is getting stronger every day, “said the president.
