It inspires us, it allows us to feel the common connection of being, to understand ourselves and for the world to know us better. In no case can art be left out. The president stressed that the enormous economic value created by culture is too often forgotten, and the promotion of culture is often referred to as just one-off beneficial injections. “We have to realize that culture can give us a lot, we just know how to take it. It increases the self-esteem of the nation, strengthens our identity, forms values, creates civic cohesion, which is the basis and essence of the welfare state, the source of the strength of Lithuania ”, emphasized the president.
The artists shared with the president their thoughts on the state of culture, creativity, quarantined loneliness, warm memories, as well as current expectations related to the new leadership of the Ministry of Culture, the need to formulate a cultural policy and define your priorities, as well as Lukiškės Square. issues.
