According to the government decision, the restriction of the movement of the population between the municipalities takes place from March 27 to April 7. As of April 7, the universal movement restriction will no longer apply.
Movement restrictions do not apply to municipalities in the ring. It is necessary that people living in the adjacent municipalities of Alytus city and district, Kaunas city and district, Klaipėda city and district, Panevėžys city and district, city and district of Šiauliai, the city and the district of Vilnius, can move between these adjacent municipalities.

When are the restrictions on movement in effect?

Traveling for work. In this case, the police recommend that you carry documents that confirm the purpose of the trip, such as employee card, delivery note, cargo delivery schedule with locations, etc.
However, the transportation of family members or members of the common household to or from work is prohibited.
Travel to or from international passenger routes to or from airports, seaports, bus stations. In this case, the person traveling must have supporting documents for international travel, such as airline tickets.
However, returnees from airports or seaports and stations can only return if the returnee is not subject to self-isolation and the returnee will be greeted by the family or household members they will be staying with. An analogous condition also applies to the transport of persons to such objects.
This restriction does not apply to underage children or people who are unable to care for themselves. They can be transported to or from these facilities by anyone in the municipality where the returnee will be staying.
The above conditions apply to foreign citizens who are members of the family of citizens of the Republic of Lithuania or form a household with them in a foreign state upon arrival in Lithuania.
When people travel from abroad in a vehicle, they can travel together to the municipalities of their place of residence. However, these people must have documents proving the fact of the departure from a foreign state and the route in Lithuania.
A trip to care for loved ones. Travel is allowed when caring for people who are sick or unable to care for themselves. It is true that given the extremely wide variety of these cases, officials will evaluate them individually. Officials will ask travelers to keep records of the supervised person’s medical status, when possible.
A trip to sanitary facilities. In this case, it is necessary to have documents that support the purpose of the trip, such as email. approval from a healthcare facility. When this is not otherwise possible, a family or household member may take the patient to a health care institution.
In all cases, you must ensure that there are no more than two people in the vehicle.
A trip to your real estate agency in another municipality. Members of the same family or household can also travel to a municipality other than their municipality of residence where they have real estate. The trip is only possible with the owner of the property.
Travel to move. However, in such a case, it is necessary to go with all personal belongings, and the officer will assess the situation individually.
A trip to a notary or to the bank. This is allowed during their business hours and a time reservation is provided to confirm.
A sports trip. Highly qualified athletes can go to another municipality for sports exercises. In this case, however, it is necessary to have a letter from the corresponding sports federation proving that the person is a highly qualified athlete and that the training takes place in another municipality.
A trip to get married. However, only marriages and two legal witnesses can take place. Also, if they are not members of the same household, they must go separately. Everyone must have documents to support the purpose of the trip.
Students cannot return to their city of study. Students who have left the city where they are studying during the quarantine will not be able to return to it due to movement restrictions. Exceptions apply when a person has a bedroom or other rental residence, real estate, or is registered in that municipality.
Travel to Regitra. It is allowed to go to the “Regitra” of another municipality to carry out tests or carry out a technical inspection. Travel is only possible on a specific day and a booking confirmation is required.
Trip to the funeral. It is only allowed for the death of close relatives, that is, parents and grandchildren, grandparents, siblings. A spouse can also go to a funeral.
When you go to a funeral, the police recommend that you have a copy of the death certificate and / or the funeral home’s confirmation of the date of the funeral. If you are traveling with your family or household members, it is necessary to have documents that prove these connections.
Other movement restrictions
A vehicle traveling to or from the workplace cannot contain more than two persons or groups of members of a family and / or a household at a time.
Co-workers can travel together in a car, only in which case the number of passengers is limited according to the maximum number of seats installed in the vehicle. In this case, people must justify joint work, for example, by submitting employment contracts, employee certificates, etc.
Restricted to public or long distance transport. In interurban and suburban transport, sitting is only allowed at a distance of at least one meter, and in urban transport, sitting and standing are allowed if a distance of at least one meter between people is guaranteed.
Collection of goods is possible in the municipality of your residence or, for this purpose, you are allowed to move between the adjacent municipalities of the city and the Alytus district, the city and the Kaunas district, the city and the Klaipėda district , the city and district of Panevėžys, the city of Šiauliai and district, city and district of Vilnius.

Hunting and fishing are allowed when carried out by no more than two people or a group of members of a family and / or a household in an open area in the municipality of residence.
