According to the representatives of the Ministry of Health, it is planned to update the list of regions where it is necessary to update surveillance twice a week. On a special map produced by the agency, regions with a poor epidemiological situation are marked in red.

To date, 48,789 cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in Poland and 1,756 people have died. Over the last week, between 500 and 600 new cases have been registered daily in the country. Szumowski warned that the daily increase in the number of infections could reach 700 in the next few days.

1,913 coronavirus patients were still being treated in Polish hospitals on Thursday morning; 72 of these require artificial lung ventilation.

The total number of people recovered amounted to 35,642, added the Ministry of Health.
