According to the mayor, currently the Širvintos district municipality does not have data on Covid-19 statistics.
We present an audience Ž. Pinskuvienė Post:
„PEOPLE, SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!
Fighting the windmills! Or when you get a “ban” because you are speaking publicly about fake public figures.
I have already mentioned that according to the current situation in Širvintos district, we have 23 cases of COVID-19.
This figure also reflects the most recent data from the Širvintos mobile point.
On Friday 2 of the tests carried out were positive.
Saturday, Sunday and Monday – 0.
Today – 1 positive answer.
The Public Health Center generally informed the municipality about the situation and provided data every business day.
Coincidence or not, but when I publicly raised questions on Friday about the current situation and unrealistic statistics, that connection started and was broken. We do not receive any information on Saturday, Sunday, Monday. We didn’t get it today.
What happened
Why do municipalities no longer have access to the latest data?
I instructed the director of the Operations Center to contact the Public Health Center to inquire about any obstructions.
And here it gets interesting. After the head of the operations center calls and inquires, there is a “minute of silence”, after which an NVSC employee says that they are waiting for PERMISSION to provide information to our Municipality, because now it is PROHIBITED.
Wait people!
Extreme situation. Pandemic. The head of the operations center asks for data on the sick and already recovered!
I can understand that it is uncomfortable. That raising these issues has increased the workload for many. But do you close the door and refuse to cooperate at that moment ?!“The mayor wrote on Tuesday night.

The news portal tv3.lt recalls that on Friday the mayor of the Širvintos district Živilė Pinskuvienė raised the problem of “false” lists of patients with COVID-19.
According to her, a closer look at the official lists found people who had been recovering for a long time and who were going to work for a couple of months. After receiving the latest data, the mayor announced on Wednesday that of 146 “sick” people announced on Friday, today only 23 remain.
“Friday February 5, – COVID-19 – 146 on the official statistics map in Širvintos district. The number of patients in Širvintos district decreases to 116 after updating the information.
Seeing that ice cream has moved all over Lithuania, I hope that in the coming days we will “cure” thousands of people from the coronavirus. The statistics of the last day also speak of that – 2110 recovered ”, he shared the message on the social network.
“Sick” and since October
Here is the mayor of Kretinga Antanas Kalnius, who followed the example of the mayor of the Širvintos district and checked the morbidity data and was still very surprised.
According to him, a review of the official lists of coronavirus patients in the Kretinga district, presented in the information system of the National Center for Public Health, revealed a number of discrepancies. “The system indicates that almost 450 people are currently ill in the Kretinga district.
However, this year just over 230 coronaviruses have been confirmed, as of January 1. For the rest, the coronavirus was confirmed in December, November or even October of last year. I think, like you, I don’t think everyone is sick to this day.
So today we first contacted the medical institutions of the district so that family doctors can see again if all their recovered patients are included in the system, ”he announced.
The Minister sees the problem The Minister of Health Arūnas Dulkys stated that this problem of “non-communication” of the systems is known and is being worked on accordingly.
“We are currently working intensively on certain technical aspects and statistical methodologies in general. And if all goes according to plan, we look forward to inviting you for an interview and introducing innovations as soon as this Thursday as we prepare to open data and introduce greater clarity in this area. But yes, this is a problem and I think we will solve it, “he said after the government meeting.
