As portal Delphi The mayor of the Širvintos district said this Monday morning that it was noted that the information provided in the general map of coronavirus morbidity in the country and the detailed data provided to the municipality of the National Public Health Center (NVSC) are different.

Municipal specialists saw that the list of sick people in Širvintos district sent by NVSC also includes a colleague who had recovered from COVID-19 a long time ago.

Ž. According to Pinskuvienė, on Saturday the municipality continued to review the lists of the population with coronavirus in the district and ordered the medical institutions to update the information.

“Some medical institutions have recovered and 20 people have already decreased”, Ž. Pinskuvienė.

He wondered why, with so much money earmarked for the improvement of various systems, there is still no unified system in the health sector; According to the mayor, if a person who has recovered in Sodra ends his period of incapacity for work, it should be automatically reflected in the electronic health system. In this way, J. Pinskuvienė pointed out, the burden on doctors would be reduced.

The mayor also noted that most of this inaccurate information was seen in private treatment centers.

A little later, the mayor of Širvintos shared other information on Facebook: it turns out that if the patient does not personally communicate with the family doctor, the system sees him as still ill, even after the period of self-isolation.

“If you were tested for COVID-19, received a positive response but it was not communicated or reported to your GP, the fact of your recovery will not be confirmed either (and you will remain in the system as a patient). Only the GP has the right to put that important “tic”. And it doesn’t matter at all that you felt good enough that after receiving instructions from the NVSC, you isolated yourself and lived and continued to live after your allotted time of self-isolation. After all, there were many people with the asymptomatic form, “writes Ž. Pinskuvienė.

According to her, a family doctor could mark each patient as healthy only if he reviewed the electronic health records of all his patients on a daily basis.

“In my opinion, especially during a pandemic, when family doctors are already working under a higher workload, such an absurd operation of the system is simply incomprehensible. Can a doctor who has between 1,000 and 2,000 enrolled patients periodically check all his cards to determine who may be ill and who already needs to be confirmed as cured? Considering how much the state has invested in improving health systems, how many projects have been implemented with solid names, it is simply difficult to understand ”, emphasizes the mayor of the Širvintos district.

Ž. According to Pinskuvienė, systems should be improved to avoid such situations.

Dust: the problem is known

In turn, Health Minister Arūnas Dulkys, when asked if he knew about this problem, answered affirmatively.

“It just came to our attention then. As the Prime Minister hinted, we are currently working intensively on certain technical aspects and statistical methodologies in general,” said A. Dulkys at a press conference held the Monday after the Government meeting.

According to him, it is expected to present at the end of this week how “it is planned to open the data and introduce more clarity in this area.”

“Yes, this is a problem and I am sure we will solve it,” said the minister.
