“People are free to appeal decisions to the court. I can only regret that this is an attempt to draw attention to oneself before the elections, perhaps by not assessing the possible risks and speculating on the ignorance of the population, “said Veryga, explaining that the quarantine measures in medical institutions they were necessary to save lives. By the way, the minister has already spoken again about possible restrictions on planned operations.

A “For Free Will” protest rally held in Vincas Kudirka Square in Vilnius on Saturday protested against the use of masks and other measures to control the coronavirus.
The audience held posters with slogans: “Take off your masks”, “We have the right to choose.”
People from all over Lithuania gathered for the rally, which was started by the united public figures. “The participants came by bus from Marijampolė, Mažeikiai, Palanga, there were also individual people: the flags of Panevėžys and Šiauliai were flying,” said one of the event organizers, Kęstutis Tamašauskas.
The majority of the audience did not wear masks, although not wearing mandatory protective equipment at public events is subject to a fine. People said that wearing masks is their own choice; that right is guaranteed by the Constitution of Lithuania. As a result, the organizers had to give explanations to the police station the next day. “The police who attended the event noticed that there are a lot of people and the distance is not observed, people do not wear masks,” said K. Tamašauskas. – And on Monday morning, the organizers were summoned to the police station. One of them, Sandra Jukne, was fined 250 euros ”.
Speakers at the rally questioned whether the coronavirus was and is in fact a “serious problem”, and resented the “closed outpatient clinics” and said they had the right to freely available drugs, education under “normal” conditions, development of medians and small businesses and the obligation to wear masks
The rally participants received a public address to the Government, which was signed by 770 rally participants while the rally was still ongoing.
“We advocate not wearing mandatory masks because a virus pandemic is a bulky business. Those who are afraid, please wear masks, but you cannot force everyone to do so, “said one of the event organizers, Viktoras Jašinskas.
