From now on, people infected with coronavirus will be able to submit epidemiological information to the National Public Health Center (NVSC) independently by completing an online questionnaire.
As the NVSC reported on Thursday, individuals who receive a positive response to the COVID-19 study will be able to immediately provide epidemiological data on themselves to professionals without waiting for a call from professionals or volunteers.
To do this, an individual will have to complete a questionnaire on the NVSC website at https://atvejis.nvsc.lt/ and provide the requested information by answering the questions.
This is expected to shorten the information supply chain and allow people to provide more accurate data when they fill out the questionnaire themselves, as they will have more time to think about where they visited, identify more places where they may have been infected if they don’t know exactly.
The questionnaire asks the person under what circumstances they became infected, asks for an assessment of the conditions available for isolation, an indication of the workplace as well as the places visited, details of the symptoms experienced and contact and other relevant information.
This will ensure that all relevant information for epidemiologists, including information about people at risk, who need to be isolated, can enter the NVSC system more quickly to prevent further spread of the infection.
