V. Usov, who has bathed in the rays of glory in the past, is accused of injuring at least 13 children.
The Gargždai pedophilia case, which caused a scandal in society, was opened in January. The relatives of the victims who then went to court did not hide their anger from the accused. They accused V. Usov of exploiting children, manipulating and blackmailing them, writing messages and, at night, bribing them with intoxicants.
Some of the children were so affected by the incident that they still do not want to remember the acquaintance, they do not want to cooperate with the forces of order. Therefore, the videos made during the preliminary investigation were reviewed in the case.
V. Usov stubbornly denies his guilt, previously promised the media to “reveal the whole truth.”
But he didn’t say a word on Monday. The man accused of pedophilia failed to appear for the hearings on several occasions for health reasons. And on Monday, a lawyer said that the defendant was poisoned with food and felt bad.
The prosecutor Edita Mikailainienė stated that the case contained sensitive data. To protect minors, they are not invited to the hearing.
Pretended to be an actor
V.Usov entered the horizons of law enforcement a few years ago. A well thought out ambush was organized in advance. After a long and complicated investigation, V. Usov was arrested in the spring of 2018.
It was investigated that V.Usovas, who worked as a project manager for the basketball club “Neptūnas”, also had a “dark side”: he is accused of abusing children for at least five years and harassing them at least 13.
He acted deliberately: he changed cars all the time, he introduced himself to someone else. The children were told that he was a businessman, a doctor, a masseur, the son of the rich. The victims were mostly socially vulnerable children. They satisfied V. Usov’s sexual passion for alcohol, cigarettes, money, or even drugs. According to the case, V.Usov gave 10 euros to a child.
In total, V. Usov has been charged with 18 crimes: for satisfying sexual passion by violating the freedom and inviolability of sexual self-determination of a minor, for abusing a person under 16 years of age and for making a child drink.
