As R. Karbauskis said, the shadow government program is an alternative to the policies followed by the rulers.

“We are not really going to take a position to oppose because of the opposition, to spread propaganda messages. By forming the shadow government, we have one goal: to help make fewer mistakes,” said R. Karbauskis, presenting the composition of the informal government that heads.

At their first meeting on Thursday, the shadow ministers will adopt a memorandum on the management of the coronavirus pandemic in the country and discuss the National Agreement on Education.

Although it has been said many times in public that the Prime Minister of the LVŽS shadow Government will be Saulius Skvernelis, who led the Government that has already resigned for four years, no position is envisaged for him in the shadow Cabinet of Ministers .

Composition of the cabinet of ministers in the shadow of the peasants headed by R. Karbauskis:

  • Minister of the Environment: Ligita Girskienė
  • Minister of Energy: Arvydas Nekrošius
  • Minister of Economy and Innovation: Deividas Labanavičius
  • Finance Minister: Valius Ąžuolas
  • Minister of National Defense: Dainius Gaižauskas
  • Minister of Culture: Aušrinė Norkienė
  • Minister of Social Security and Labor: Tomas Tomilinas
  • Minister of Transport and Communications: Arvydas Vaitkus
  • Minister of Health: Aurelijus Veryga
  • Minister of Education, Science and Sports: Eugenijus Jovaiša
  • Minister of Justice: Agnė Širinskienė
  • Minister of Foreign Affairs: Giedrius Surplys
  • Minister of the Interior: Guoda Burokienė
  • Minister of Agriculture: Kęstutis Mažeika

“I believe that many of the people sitting here (in the meeting, aut.p.) can help existing ministers with their experience. To make fewer mistakes, because mistakes cost our quality of life,” said R. Karbauskis during the meeting.

He addressed Prime Minister Ingrid Šimonytė, saying that the shadow peasant government was “ready to help the best of the Lithuanian people to work.”
