According to the chairman of the Social Democratic Party, the quarantine conditions revealed that inequality persists in Lithuania.
“It just came to our attention then. We are used to seeing it only in terms of wages, but during the quarantine we have seen that large companies, strong and influential people and their groups, can easily adapt to changing conditions, helping them more. At that time, the weakest members of society or those who are less successful are placed in benefits or charity, ”says G. Paluckas.
The president of the LSDP also appreciated the decision of the Minister of Health Arūnas Dulkis to instruct the directors of the municipal administrations to control the vaccination process.
“It just came to our knowledge then. Everything is much simpler. Each vaccine is in an electronic medical record. In this way, both the ministry and the government can easily compare the lists to be vaccinated with those that are vaccinated. There is no need to wait for someone to report, the data is in everyone’s eyes ”, comments G. Paluckas.
As ELTA recalled, the Presidential Advisor, Head of the Economic and Social Policy Group, Simonas Krėpšta, after a meeting with Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonyte and Health Minister Arūnas Dulkis, said that in case of scandalous stories louder.
