“Now more than ever, we value health and the opportunity to spend time outdoors. Our goal is to encourage people to discover not only leisure, but also work in those urban spaces that inspire creativity and help them generate new ideas. Therefore, we invited designers and small architectural creators to join our project “NeBiuras” and create design ideas of modern mobile workplaces that would be implemented and would not only decorate cities, but also provide quality conditions to create and work outdoors, “says the Support for Sustainable Initiatives. Fund” Director Akvilė Liaudanskienė.

The newly created jobs will be for both individual and team work. To apply for the competition, participants, who can become both natural and legal persons, must prepare and submit a design project by April 12, consisting of proposals for open mobile workplaces in the field.

“We divide the competition into two parts: two separate projects are waiting in Vilnius and Nida. Therefore, bidders can optionally submit an application to only one of them or participate in both; in this case, the different parts of the tender must come up with different ideas, ”says A.Liaudanskienė, Director of the Sustainable Initiatives Support Fund.

The work of the participants will be evaluated and the best ideas will be selected by a competent committee made up of specialists from the Department of Architecture of the Vilnius and Neringa Municipalities, landscape architects, design professionals, representatives of the Darnu Group and Sustainable Initiatives Support Fund . The winners of the competition will be announced before April 21.

“We plan to create jobs according to the design projects of the contest winners in green areas, squares, parks or on the coast near water in the central parts of cities. We want NeBiuras to become an attraction for those looking for an alternative office in the summer, to make it convenient to work in the center, but to discover a quiet corner surrounded by nature ”, says A. Liaudanskienė.

Among the requirements for bidders is to guarantee the technical characteristics of the workplaces: mobile offices must be of high quality, durable, ergonomic, easy to transport, have a rain cover.

Moisture, cold and corrosion resistant materials should be used in the installation of workplaces, and sustainable electricity generation solutions should be considered in each individual office.

The first and second place winners of the contest will receive cash prizes.
