You can see the layout of the outdoor cafes for work on a cloudy Thursday morning in Vilnius in the photo gallery below.
For almost half a year, the cafes, which are basically forced to close, start working not only pulling dusty tables, but also looking for employees.
Some waiters, chefs or bartenders were in need of labor during the most difficult months, while other restaurants are planning to expand. You can read about it here.
Last week, the government decided to allow outdoor cafes to operate, further facilitating quarantine due to the spread of COVID-19 and providing for the gradual opening of stores in supermarkets and markets.
However, the seemingly good news of opening outdoor cafes is ambiguous.
Some companies are happy with the opportunity to work, but some employers fear that allowing them to operate only outdoors will force them to be weather forecasters and plan their work according to the weather. You can read about it here.

The outdoor cafes will operate, at least for now, with some restrictions. The main source of dissatisfaction in the sector is the limitation of working hours: it will be possible to work from 7 to 21 hours.
In addition, the tables may remain outside for at least two meters. No more than two people will sit at a table unless they are from the same household.
Cafes in Lithuania have been closed since the beginning of November last year, when the quarantine was reintroduced in Lithuania due to the second wave of COVID-19. They could only be fed with food.
