Hagler, who had an incredible career in professional boxing, won 62 fights (52 knockouts), reached 2 draws and suffered only 3 losses. 1980 the American became world champion in the WBA, WBC and The Ring when he knocked out Alan Minter. He later defended those belts 6 times in a row, and in 1983, he added an IBF belt to his trophies when he knocked out Wilford Scypion.
In the same 1983 Hagler also defeated the legendary Robert Duran, and in total he defended his belts up to 12 times in a row. He has long been the “undisputed” world champion, and holds the belts of every major organization. Hagler graduated in 1987. after the defeat of another legend, Sugar Ray Leonard.

Hagler still owns a record in the middleweight class, even reaching 78 percent. battles for undisputed world champion status in the middleweight class ended in knockouts. Hagler has been inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame and is often among the top 20 boxers of all time.
