1. MAMUTO PARK

The vision of the Mamutas Park is to acquaint visitors with the unique history of Vilnius landform and its characteristics. The park would feature mammoth finds, the extent of the ice age expansion, and expressive glacial landforms. Mammoth Park would consist of: “Mammoth” educational trail, “Mammoth” sightings, “Mammoth” pastures (play and recreation areas, botanical garden), multifunctional relief development museum housed in ammunition depots, “Amunition” trail and a new bridge that visually and emotionally complement the educational “, – the vision of the future park is established by the authors of the project proposals.

The new bridge for pedestrians and bicycles would cross Ukmergės street, another (suspension) bridge would be on the territory of the park and the reserve, on the Šeškinė hills a cognitive path with panoramic views would be formed, the bunkers on the hill would be adapted for museum activities. The plan also foresees an ecological product through Ozo Street, which would be a kind of extension of the park towards Šeškinė Ozo.
