According to her, a closer look at the official lists found people who had been recovering for a long time and who were going to work for a couple of months.
After receiving the latest data, the mayor announced on Wednesday that of 146 “sick” people announced on Friday, today only 23 remain.

According to him, a review of the official lists of coronavirus patients in the Kretinga district, presented in the information system of the National Center for Public Health, revealed a number of discrepancies.
“The system indicates that almost 450 people are currently ill in the Kretinga district. However, this year just over 230 coronaviruses have been confirmed, as of January 1. Otherwise, the coronavirus was confirmed in December, November or even October of last year I think, like you, I don’t think everyone is sick to this day.
So today we first contact the district medical institutions so that family doctors can see again if all their recovered patients are included in the system ”, he announced on the social network on Monday night.
Systems are not “communicating”
However, deepening the situation, A. Kalnis was surprised by the fact that the problem – not only due to the fact that the family doctors did not put a tick on the count “recovered”.
“It is real that we do not know the exact number of patients so far, and due to the different systems of the different institutions, they still do not” communicate “with each other. And the biggest burden of finding this detective in the number of patients will fall again on our doctors, “he explained.
As he added, given that some of the quarantine facilities will be decided by the government based on the situation in each municipality, the number of cases in the municipality during the last 14 days is crucial.
Therefore, A. Kalnius said that he had already asked the specialists to review the patient lists in the last 2 weeks very carefully.
As explained by Ž. Pinskuvienė, if a person has been tested for COVID-19 and received a positive response, but has not contacted their GP, the fact of recovery will not be confirmed either. Therefore, the person will continue to appear ill in the system.

The mayor added that he believes that such an absurd operation of the system is simply incomprehensible, especially during a family doctor pandemic and therefore working under a higher workload.
“Can you periodically check a doctor with between 1,000 and 2,000 patients to find out who may be sick and who should be confirmed as cured?” Pinskuvienė.
The minister sees the problem
The Minister of Health, Arūnas Dulkys, stated that this problem of “non-communication” of the systems is known and is being worked on accordingly.
“We are currently working intensively on certain technical aspects and statistical methodologies in general. And if all goes according to plan, we look forward to inviting you for an interview and introducing innovations as soon as this Thursday as we prepare to open data and introduce greater clarity in this area.
