As Rolanda Lingienė, head of the NVSC Vilnius department, reported at the press conference, three new cases were reported in Klaipėda County: a relative of an already ill person fell ill, another case related to the Treatment and Nursing Hospital of I support Kartena. The third case concerns the army.
“The information system indicates that the investigation was commissioned by the Lithuanian Armed Forces, and to this day there is so much data,” said R. Lingienė.
Three more cases were identified in Vilnius County. Two of them are related to the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital.
“Traditionally, unfortunately, a former patient at the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital has already been discharged,” said a representative from NVSC.
Coronavirus was also detected in an Affidea employee who worked on the premises of that hospital.
“This clinic is in the same buildings,” said R. Lingienė.
The third case in the capital, according to preliminary data, is not related to any outbreak.
A total of 1,511 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the country, 517 are still ill and 934 people have recovered. 54 people died from the virus.
