“I want to inform you that the specialists of the center are facing the hostile reaction of the society, which arose after the negative evaluation of the politicians,” he said.
According to the director, this makes people reluctant to provide information to center staff when epidemiological investigations are carried out.
“If people do not listen to the instructions of the specialists, do not answer their questions, there will be a very serious threat to the management of the pandemic.” There is a public denigration of the activities of the institution, the motivation of the specialists is falling ”, he said.
“I ask politicians to be careful when choosing words to publicly evaluate the activities of the center,” he said.

On the last day of last year, a letter was distributed to the media, which signed by unidentified personnel, where it is stated that criticism of the director and the center affects them psychologically.
Commenting on this, Petraitis said that he knew nothing about the letter in person, that it was not inspired by management.
“I don’t think a letter is needed in this situation, that’s my opinion,” he said.
