The Ministry of Health (SAM) has updated the list of countries most affected by coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Isolation will be mandatory for those who come from the countries listed therein. The list applies to residents of our country who return to Lithuania and to foreigners who have a permit to enter Lithuania. According to the expanded list of countries, isolation will also be mandatory for arrivals from Ukraine, Luxembourg, Serbia and Montenegro.
The Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe has been removed from the list of most affected countries, but nine new states and stateless territories have been added: the Central African Republic, Montenegro, Costa Rica, Luxembourg, Palestine, the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, Serbia, Turks and Caicos and Ukraine. . This list is effective on Monday, July 6.
Affected are those countries where the incidence of coronavirus infection in the last 14 days is greater than 25 cases per 100,000. population.
Returnees or arrivals from countries on the list of affected countries are expected to register within 24 hours by sending their data to the National Center for Public Health (NVSC). Such persons will be required to be isolated for 14 days, even if they have been in transit through the affected country. This procedure is valid for both Lithuanian citizens returning from these countries and foreigners with an entry permit.
The list of the most affected countries is updated weekly, taking into account epidemiological indicators in foreign countries.
